M stands for May and for Mother and this year Mother’s Day falls on May 8th. So with that in mind here are a few pics of what I’ve done to help you find the perfect Mother’s Day gift.
With all the hoopla about the Royal Wedding and my love of Shabby Chic, I figure why not treat your Mom like royalty?! So this is my take on the “marriage” of the two in my window display.

Mother's Day Window Display
Granted there’s not a lot of Royal stuff but there is the odd sparkly crown and it is dripping with pearls
Anyway, here are a few gift ideas I’ve put together.
Let’s start with a sweet little something.
Here we have a cute little “cut lace” dish with a selection of yummy chocolates for a Mom with a sweet tooth.

Chocolate Mousse For Mom $18.99
And when Mom has finished the nibbles here’s what she’ll find!

To Mom with Love
Want to kick this gift up a notch? Pair the chocolates with a wonderful bottle of wine such as a Pinot Noir or a lighter bodied Merlot and you’ll both be smiling.
Here’s another traditional style china plate for mom. Once again we can add a few chocolates or maybe some of her favorite cookies and you can share some time with Mom over a nice cup of tea.

To Mom With Love
Of course Mother’s Day is a great day to offer her breakfast in bed. I’m sure that Liz gets her breaky brought up to here room every day so why not treat Mom like a queen too.
Here’s one of my favorites. A bed side decanter.

Decanter Set $29.99 Mother's Day Special SAVE $5.00
Yes it looks very nice, but we are talking breakfast in bed, so let’s kick it up a little. Now since I’m at the store I can’t very well show you a lovely plate of toast & marmalade or eggs benedict (drool) so let’s use a little imagination.

Breakfast In Bedish
Now imagine… Sitting on a lovely tray (sorry don’t have one) is the decanter filled with mimosas and a simple plate of toast & marmalade . Add a lovely cherub to show you’re love, a crown to let her know she’s a queen, not just for today but everyday and what the heck, everybody loves chocolate!! Now how’s that for honouring Mom?
All this talk of food is making me hungry, so let’s get off that subject and pamper Mom a little
I have 3 fragrances of Queen of Hearts Gift Baskets that are all ready to go. In this cute little sinamay basket are 2 Heart Shaped Goat’s Milk Soap and a Heart Shaped Bath Bomb. The fragrances available are Lavender, Vanilla, and Rose Garden, shown below.

Queen of Hearts Gift Basket $9.99
Here’s a version of a Shabby Chic style grouping to pamper Mom.

Shabby Chic Vanilla
Shown here is our own line of Parson House Soap and Candle Co. Goat’s Milk Soap and a large Soy Wax jar candle, and an altered Shabby Chic bottle of Vanilla Bath Salts. To go with the natural sepia tones of vanilla, I added a brown victorian boot key chain and a brown agate slice to finish the grouping. Each piece is priced separately but if you like the look I can put it all together as a great gift basket. How’s that for some Shabby Chic Love
Now, if Mom’s a little more outdoorsy I’ve got a couple of suggestions to enhance her back yard or balcony.
These Cone Lanterns are available in white/clear as shown below and in green as well.

Cone Candle Lantern $19.99
These Hummingbird feeders are just darling. Available in Pink, Green and Blue. Update: Sorry these are Sold Out

Glass & Wire Hummingbird Feeders $19.99
I have 2 sizes of these Wind Chimes. They have a lovely tone when they ring.

Wind Chimes Small, $9.99, Large $14.99
Well, those are my picks and pictures for Mother’s Day 2011.
So whether it’s breakfast in bed or just a great big hug & kiss, don’t forget you’re mom, she’ll love you even more for it.
