Top Sellers this Christmas Season

So I’ve been really busy in the store I thought I’d share with you a few of my best selling Christmas items.

Number one on our list is our Handcrafted Pottery by Karin Seelen.  Karin does wonderful pottery pieces from coffee mugs to chip & dip sets, but by far the best seller this year in her line is our Garlic Graters.

Pottery Garlic Grater

Pottery Garlic Grater

Now don’t think that this is just for garlic, these also do a wonderful job on chocolate, parmesan cheese, ginger, nutmeg etc.  To use it you just peel your garlic or ginger and rub it along the grating surface.

It doesn’t stop there, here’s a quick bread dipper recipe:  Grate a some garlic, add some olive oil and a touch of balsamic vinegar.  Slice or tear bits of crusty french bread and dip.  Now there’s a quick way to impress your guests!

As each one is handcrafted no 2 are ever the same, some are a little larger some are a little smaller, but they all work the same and make a great gift.

Each Garlic grater comes with an instruction/recipe tag.  $14.99 each or 2/$24.99.  Save some money and get one for a friend and one for yourself ;)

Our second best seller in Karin’s pottery are her French Butter Dishes

French Butter Dish

French Butter Dish

These are the best idea since sliced bread!  Actually they are a great way to keep your butter fresh and spreadable.  The idea behind the French butter dish is rather simple.  Butter will turn rancid rather quickly at room temperature, NOT because of the room temperature, but because it is exposed to oxygen.  Before there was refrigeration butter was kept under water to keep it fresh, the French butter dish does exactly the same thing.  There are two parts to your French butter dish, the smaller lid/bowl that sits inside a larger bowl base.  Butter is packed into the lid while water is put into the bowl base.  When you insert the lid into the base an air tight seal is created.  Since water and oil don’t mix you can keep this on you kitchen counter and always have fresh spreadable butter.

Again since each one is hand thrown, no 2 are ever alike.  $29.99 each

If you are interested in more of Karins work, please feel free to email or comment here and I’ll send you some pics.

Our next best seller is this Chickadee Plate

Chickadee plate

This is the sweetest plate with cute chickadees nestled in pine branches.  I’ve been wrapping these up with in cellophane with a box of truffles placed in the center with a large gold ribbon bow.

Birnn Truffles

Chickadee plate $24.99

Birnn Truffles $9.99

And finally two of my best selling Stocking Stuffers this year are:

Crystal Nail Files

Crystal Nail Files $9.99 ea

Crystal Nail Files are extremely smooth and gentle and yet highly effective. Metal files and emery boards tear the nail as they file leaving rough, sharp edges whereas Crystal Nail Files will seal the nail edge.  These are suitable for both natural and artificial nails.  $9.99 each

Lipstick Shape Pens

Lipstick Pens

These Lipstick pens have been going out the door faster than I can bring them in… funnily enough, I haven’t sold a single one.  Nope not a single one, but multiples at a time!  They come in 4 different colours and the ladies have been grabbing them up 4 or 5 at a time.  No wonder, they are only $2.99 each and make great stocking stuffers.

Well, those are just a few of my best of the best sellers here at Sherry’s on Main.  We are located at 157 Main St. N. Mount Forest, or you can order through this blog by clicking on the Order button at the top of the page.

Merry Christmas everyone,

Sherry
