Our newest arrivals at the store! The daughter of our potter makes some wonderful Stained Glass Suncatchers and I’ve finally been able to get my hands on some! Need a little something to take as a hostess gift? With one of these, you’re sure to know that you’ll be the only one thinking outside the box and giving such a unique gift.
Making stained glass is something that I’ve always wanted to do but never have, so instead I read about making it. There’s a ton of steps but I think that the end result is just gorgeous. Check out Everything Stained Glass if you are even just the least bit interested. You’ll find a lot of great information there.
Let me apologize for my lack of photography skills, but hey, at least I try
The pictures that I took are just placed against a white background. I tried to photograph through my window, but there is too much stuff in it and outside that I felt the pictures just looked cluttered. You’ll see what I mean below. If you think the pics look better through the window, please be sure and let me know, I’ll gladly retake the photos.
So without further ado, here’s a quick peak at the pieces I currently have in the store.
First, as you may know, we are in Mennonite country so she has made these cute little Mennonite Girls.
This is the picture of the left facing girl and the glass photographs blue, but the actual colour of the glass is a dark green. Sorry
(edit) When I looked at the pic of this little girl it looks as though there are scratches on the glass in her bonnet. I can assure you that there are NO scratches at all on it. This is REAL stained glass and there is no way for the colour to scratch off. It must be the way the light is bouncing off of the glass.
Here are a couple Butterflies.
Just in time for fall we also have a couple of cute fall coloured Maple Leaves.
And even though I hate to think about winter, we also have a few Snowflakes.
These are available in store or here online, just go to the Stained Glass Suncatcher page for more information or if you’d like purchase one.
Take care, Sherry
